COVID-19 update

Lutheran Community Care and DSONR services are open and operational during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure continued support to our most vulnerable clients and families.

DSONR continues to offer assessments and staff are answering our phone at 1-855-376-6673 and email dsonr@lccare.ca

To help protect our clients, our employees, and the public, we are actively screening any visitors to ensure they are not presenting any symptoms, have not been in contact with a sick individual, and have not recently traveled outside of Canada. Anyone answering yes to the screening questions will be offered online/telephone support.

About your DSO agency

DSO NR is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, and is administered by the Lutheran Community Care Centre.

We follow our agency’s Mission: The Lutheran Community Care Centre provides flexible and responsive social, developmental and spiritual services to people in the northern region of Ontario.

MCCSS Compliance

The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) conducts compliance inspections of all ministry-funded Developmental Services Ontario agencies under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008 (SIPDDA). DSO NR was found to be in compliance with Ontario Regulation 299/10 of SIPDDA (Quality Assurance Measures) and/or policy directives applicable to MCCSS-funded services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Update your information

It is important to keep your area DSO up to date when there are any changes in your situation. For example, call us if you are planning to move or change your phone number. This helps us to make sure that we have your current contact information and to confirm that you wish to remain on the service registry.
