COVID-19 update
For the safety of everyone, effective March 16 to April 5, 2020, Contact Hamilton will be suspending all in-person meetings, community information sessions and office walk-ins. Our office will be closed to the public during this time.
Contact Hamilton staff will be monitoring and responding to callers during this time and will be happy to assist you over the phone.
We continue to monitor the situation and will provide new information as it becomes available on our website.
Please check our website for the most up-to-date information regarding our services.
We thank you for your patience and support during this time.
Update your information
It is important to keep your area DSO up to date when there are any changes in your situation. For example, call us if you are planning to move or change your phone number. This helps us to make sure that we have your current contact information and to confirm that you wish to remain on the service registry.
Your DSO resources
Some Ministry-funded services can take time to start. In the meantime, there are other things you can do on your journey. Your DSO can help you define your initial goals when you complete your application package. This includes talking about resources that may be available in your community to support those next steps. You could also connect to recreation and senior centres, parks, churches, libraries, non-profit organizations, homes, and housing. Search for activities, information fairs, and special events in your community, some of which are shared below:
COAST (Crisis Outreach and Support Team)
Human Care Enhanced by Technology
Contact Hamilton Passport Funding Program
Family Services Toronto Passport ONE
Southern Network of Specialized Care
You could also join our Facebook Group for updates, workshops, and more!
Your area DSO works with a variety of ministry-funded agencies across the province to help connect you to services and supports. To find out what agencies they partner with in your community please visit Funded services | DSO and click on your area.
