We understand the tremendous impact that COVID-19 is having on the lives of our clients, families, and staff; especially those dealing with mental health challenges, children with complex needs and adults with developmental disabilities who require support.
We continue to carefully monitor updates provided by Health Canada, along with those from the federal and provincial governments.
YSSN continues to encourage people to call, email or meet virtually whenever possible. In cases where you need to meet with someone in person, meetings are available by appointment. If you would like to meet with a worker, please call to arrange a time.
To help ensure everyone’s safety, all visitors will be required to self-screen and follow safety protocols. Please do not visit our offices if you suspect you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus or are feeling unwell.
Your safety is important to us
As an agency who receives funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), we fall under a directive requiring mandatory implementation of a COVID-19 vaccination policy.
As of September 23, 2021, all YSSN staff are required to be fully vaccinated or participating in Rapid Antigen Testing at least two times per week. A copy of YSSN’s Vaccination Policy is available here should you require further information.
We continue to monitor the situation and will update you on any changes as they occur. Please check our website for updates and stay-up-to-date by joining us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) or subscribing to our e-newsletter.

Update your information
It is important to keep your area DSO up to date when there are any changes in your situation. For example, call us if you are planning to move or change your phone number. This helps us to make sure that we have your current contact information and to confirm that you wish to remain on the service registry.
