About your DSO agency

DSO SWR is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, and is administered by Community Services Coordination Network (CSCN).

We follow our agency’s Mission: In partnership with communities, CSCN provides information, fosters understanding about options and explores opportunities to enable children, adults and families to live a full and fulfilled life.

MCCSS Compliance

The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) conducts compliance inspections of all ministry-funded Developmental Services Ontario agencies under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008 (SIPDDA). DSO SWR was found to be in compliance with Ontario Regulation 299/10 of SIPDDA (Quality Assurance Measures) and/or policy directives applicable to MCCSS-funded services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Update your information

It is important to keep your area DSO up to date when there are any changes in your situation. For example, call us if you are planning to move or change your phone number. This helps us to make sure that we have your current contact information and to confirm that you wish to remain on the service registry.

Your DSO resources

Some Ministry-funded services can take time to start. In the meantime, there are other things you can do on your journey. Your DSO can help you define your initial goals when you complete your application package. This includes talking about resources that may be available in your community to support those next steps. You could also connect to recreation and senior centres, parks, churches, libraries, non-profit organizations, homes, and housing.
